Regarding the spontaneous landfills in the Tselinograd district of the Akmola region, we report the following:

To date, there are seven solid waste landfills in the Tselinograd district and all of them are illegal.
SP "Bayan"is engaged in garbage collection, sorting and disposal.
The absence of special, legalized landfills leads to the formation of unauthorized landfills. According to the space monitoring of JSC "NC Garysh Sapary" in 2020, 282 unauthorized landfills were identified in the Tselinograd district. The Department of Ecology of the Akmola region together with the akimat of the district carried out work on the elimination of 235 landfills. However, spontaneous landfills are formed again.
Since the beginning of the year, 7 letters have been sent to the akimat of the Tselinograd district about the need to eliminate unauthorized landfills. The police authorities brought 6 individuals to administrative responsibility under Article 505 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, the construction sites of new landfills have been identified - these are the rural districts of Kabanbay Batyr, Arailyn, Sofiyevsky and Orazak, i.e. in four directions from Nur-Sultan. A feasibility study is being developed.
