Subsidies in the amount of 2.6 billion tenge were paid in the agro-industrial complex of WKO

In 2020, 3.1 billion tenge was allocated from the Republican budget under the subsidy program to reimburse part of the expenses of farms. The Department of agriculture of the West Kazakhstan region has already collected applications for the payment of subsidies, and many subjects of the agro-industrial complex have received funds at the moment.
The Plotnikov farm has been growing potatoes for 24 years. Also, the farmer is engaged in sowing winter crops. At the beginning of August, early potato varieties were harvested here. In total, 230 hectares were planted in April, and 8 varieties are grown. "All products are sold to the local vegetable storage. The cost of 1 kg of potatoes today is 80 tenge. As for the yield, because of the hot weather this year we are harvesting less than in 2019, " - said the head of the farm Alexander Plotnikov. The entire potato harvesting process is automated: two harvesters collect the crop, then take it to the base, where workers dry the potatoes and pack them in bags. "In order to increase labor productivity and productivity, we update our equipment every year. On one of the fields, which is located near the village of Zhambyl, about 7 km of underground water supply for irrigation installations is laid. The purchase of such equipment is also reimbursed under the state subsidy program. This year, we received assistance from the state in the amount of almost 30 million tenge, " Alexander Plotnikov said. As explained by the head of the Department of agriculture of the WKO Berik Sitkaziev, in total, 2.3 billion tenge was provided for the payment of subsidies in the region this year, then an additional 800 million tenge was allocated.
