Akim of the West Kazakhstan region Gali Iskaliev during the staff meeting instructed to strengthen the work on informing the population about the need for revaccination. He recalled that during the two years of the coronavirus pandemic, about 50 thousand West Kazakhstanis fell ill, 900 of whom died for this reason. Despite the stable situation regarding the incidence of Covid-19 in our region, the overall picture in the country has deteriorated significantly. The growth of new cases of CVI continues, Almaty is already close to the "red" zone.
The sanitary and epidemiological situation in other regions and cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan is getting worse every day," Gali Iskaliyev said. - All signs show that the pandemic is coming back to us. We have already passed more than one wave of it, so now we need to be ready for the next one, observing all precautions. The fact is that people who were vaccinated and then revaccinated are less susceptible to infection. Even if they get sick, they will carry the coronavirus in a mild form. Therefore, I instruct all akims of the districts and Uralsk, as well as medical institutions, to strengthen the work on the need for revaccination. We have the only way out – to take care of ourselves, to attend less events where there are a lot of people. In the summer, you need to spend more time outdoors, play sports and, of course, get vaccinated. We have to take lessons from those two years that were the most difficult for us.
According to the deputy head of the Department of sanitary and Epidemiological control of the West Kazakhstan Region, Nurlybek Mustayev, according to the matrix of assessment of the epidemiological situation, the West Kazakhstan region is now in the "green" zone. Since the beginning of 2022, 9605 cases of CVI have been registered in the region, 4572 of which are asymptomatic. In January, there were 7,098 cases of infection, February – 2,412, March – 74, April – 1, May - 1, June – 4. Since July, 15 cases have already been registered in the West Kazakhstan region, 10 of which were with symptoms of the disease. Moreover, since the beginning of June, five cases have been registered among unvaccinated West Kazakhstanis, 12 people have had more than six months since the last vaccination, two - less than six months. The incidence of covid is noted in Uralsk 60% (9), in Burlinsky 20% (3), Zhangalinsky 13% (2) districts and in Bayterek 7% (1).
