Akim of the region Gali Iskaliev inspected prices in hypermarkets of Uralsk, visiting such large retail facilities as Anvar, Altyndar and Dina.

The main purpose of the detour was the analysis of pricing on the shelves and the exclusion of unnecessary links in the chain of delivery of products to the final buyer.
The heads of retail facilities note that the suppliers of products, being private entrepreneurs, supply goods from the local wholesale market without VAT. Therefore, supermarkets are forced to put these 12% in the prices of goods sold.
The high cost of phytosanitary certificates for imported products was also noted. A separate phytosanitary certificate is issued for each batch of the same product.
It is planned to introduce a card system for socially vulnerable segments of the population in the Altyndar supermarket, which will provide a discount on certain food products. This system will be developed jointly with the regional digitalization department.
The Dina hypermarket noted the need to enter an additional route to the shopping facility itself. To date, the hypermarket can only be reached on route 39.
The governor of the region was told that the prices for some types of products supplied, for example, from the Russian Federation to Uralsk are higher than in the same hypermarket located in Aktau. In this regard, work will be carried out jointly with the hypermarket and large wholesale suppliers to find out the reasons for the formation of high prices at a shorter distance for deliveries.
For further analysis of the situation, complete information about suppliers, the origin of products, as well as the most popular non-food products, such as washing powders, personal hygiene items, will be collected from the visited objects.
In conversations with the heads of supermarkets, the akim of the region emphasized that the products of Kazakhstani production should be in the most prominent places and shelves.
