Akim of the WKO Gali Iskaliyev took part in the solemn event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, G. Iskaliyev noted that the opening of this sports complex will contribute to the development of mass and children's sports in the West Kazakhstan region, the formation of a healthy nation.
- The implementation of this project is symbolic. Last year, a local entrepreneur, Gaisa Zhumaliyev, approached us, who proposed the initiative to open a judo center at his own expense in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence. He was born and raised here, thanks to the state and the people of Kazakhstan, he became a successful entrepreneur, achieved success and decided to make a gift as a sign of gratitude. To support his idea, the akimat allocated a land plot of 80 acres, and in 11 months it built an object that will function for the benefit of the people, the younger generation. Each of us should contribute to the development of the country and the opening of this sports facility will be an example for other businessmen of the region, " G. Iskaliyev said.
It should be noted that the sports facility was built on the initiative of the vice-president of the regional Judo Federation Gaisa Zhumaliyev, who spent 250 million tenge. Classes for those who wish will be conducted by experienced coaches and educators. Also, in addition to judo classes, mini-football, yoga, yoga on hammocks, dance, gymnastics and additional classes in the gym will be held here. The infrastructure of the sports complex is designed with a focus on the convenience of students and visitors, there is a grandstand for 132 seats in the main hall, a waiting hall with a coffee area and online video surveillance of classes, a massage room with a separate relaxation area and a shower room.
Unfortunately, there are no Olympic judo champions in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but there are two Olympic silver medalists Askhat Zhitkeev and Eldos Smetov, as well as bronze medalist Galbadrakhyn Otgontsetseg. The opening of the multifunctional sports complex-the judo center "Kodokan Spirit" will certainly contribute to the development of judo in the West Kazakhstan region, and perhaps in the near future it will be our countrymen who will glorify the country at the Olympic Games by winning gold medals.
