The incidence of CVI in the West Kazakhstan region increased by 42%

The daily number of cases in recent days exceeds 180 people. Most of them are working citizens. Uralsk is the leader in terms of indicators, as well as the districts of Burlinsky and Baiterek. Due to the daily increase in patients, an infectious diseases hospital with 200 beds was deployed on the basis of the city multidisciplinary hospital.

These data for the last week in comparison with the previous one were announced during the next meeting of the operational staff for the fight against coronavirus, which was held on July 7 in the akimat of the region. The introduction of additional restrictive measures in the WKO was announced by the chief sanvrach of the WKO Mukhamgali Aryspaev:
- It is known that West Kazakhstan residents who have not been vaccinated are now restricted access to work, with the exception of those who have medical contraindications and have been ill with CVI for the last 3 months. For the first category of citizens, mandatory PCR testing has been introduced every 7 days. In addition, since July 10, the rental of children's and adult vehicles, including electric cars, scooters, go - karts and gyroscuters of all types, as well as the operation of outdoor attractions, is prohibited in parks, embankments, playgrounds and squares. Baths are now open according to the schedule from 7.00 to 24.00, saunas, SPA centers and swimming pools-from 7.00 to 21.00.

As the acting head of the regional health department Arman Kalibekov noted, the workload of infectious beds in the region reaches 52% (in Uralsk – up to 67%), and resuscitation – up to 62%. Compared to last week, the occupancy rate of the first increased by 4.3%, the second-by 12%.

- We associate the deterioration of the situation with the mutation of the virus, - said A. Kalibekov. - The detected new strains are progressing rapidly. The presence of concomitant diseases in patients also affects the increase in morbidity. In this regard, we call on the population of the region to observe all preventive measures to protect themselves and their loved ones from this disease. Every day, people with a severe course of the disease get to hospitals and die from it. The only salvation is vaccination, the pace of which increased in June in our region.

It was noted that a total of 320050 doses of two components of vaccines were received in the WKO. Currently, there are 66 vaccination centers that work on holidays and weekends to maximize coverage of the population. About 114,000 West Kazakhstan residents have already been vaccinated with the first component, 69,000 people have received the second one.

- It is disturbing that 70% of all cases are people over 60 years old, who are our parents, grandparents, - said the governor of the WKO Gali Iskaliyev. – In addition, viruses of a mutated Indian strain have already been registered in our region, which also affects our youth. Therefore, in order to achieve collective immunity, the pace of vaccination must be increased. To live a normal life, you need to vaccinate two-thirds of the population. A good help in the fight against coronavirus is provided by the work of the Ashyq mobile application: in July alone, 107 people were recorded with a "red mark" (meaning that the PCR was positive, - auth.) at the entrance to public institutions. Vaccination was not invented by us, and is the result of the work of the luminaries of medicine, who proved that this is the only way to defeat the epidemic. It is not necessary to believe false information, which is often distributed by people who are not versed in medical science and who call for refusing vaccinations.
