A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WAS SIGNED BETWEEN THE AKIMAT OF THE WEST KAZAKHSTAN REGION AND THE ASSOCIATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS OF KAZAKHSTAN

Today, Governor of the region Gali Iskaliyev and Chairman of the Board of the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan Aigul Solovyova signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to take joint actions to improve the environment of the region. Such as the formation of a social order for conducting environmental, research and monitoring activities to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere from various sources, the development and practical implementation of environmental protection programs and investment projects in nature management facilities.

The memorandum provides for the promotion of pilot projects on "green" and innovative technologies, as well as the development of renewable energy sources, the involvement of national and world-class experts, international organizations, foundations for the implementation of joint environmental projects.

The document also noted cooperation in the implementation of the Concept for the transition of Kazakhstan to a "green" economy and the Partnership Program "Green Bridge".
