4371 people were vaccinated against coronavirus in WKO

The incidence of coronavirus in our region has increased by almost 21% over the past week. Experts attribute the increase in new cases of CVI to connivance among the population over the past holidays. For some reason, the refusal of family celebrations and trips to cafes is still an insurmountable obstacle for some. But more than 4,370 West Kazakhstan residents have already been vaccinated against this insidious infection.

As Gulnara Abdrakhmanova, deputy head of the health Department of the West Kazakhstan Region, said during a briefing at the RSK site, 230 people died from coronavirus infection in our region. The prevalence of infectious diseases in hospitals has now exceeded 50%.

- Patients are admitted with a severe and extremely severe form of the disease. The disease is especially acute in the elderly and senile, with arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and coronary heart disease. We strongly recommend that West Kazakhstanis observe all sanitary standards and mask regime and seek medical help at the first symptoms of SARS, " Gulnara Abdrakhmanova urged.

She recalled that since February 1, vaccination against COVID-19 has started in WKO. To date, the vaccination of health workers with the first component of the Sputnik-V vaccine has been completed.

- On March 19, we received this vaccine in the amount of another 1000 doses (I component), at this time, vaccination continues on schedule, - said the deputy head of the regional health department. - According to general data, 4371 people have already received vaccinations in the West Kazakhstan region, 786 of them are teachers, 199 are employees of law enforcement agencies.

According to the deputy head of the Department of sanitary and Epidemiological control of the West Kazakhstan Region Nurlybek Mustayev, there are also cases of infection among schoolchildren. Only for the 3rd quarter, 393 such facts were registered, and from March 11 to March 25, for this reason, 15 classes in 8 schools in Uralsk and one in the Taskalinsky district had to be quarantined.

- During the holidays, monitoring groups found cases of holding family celebrations in cafes, administrative offenses are now being considered, - said Nurlybek Mustayev. - By the way, before that, for repeatedly holding mass events, the activities of several entertainment establishments were suspended for two months by a court decision. Since the beginning of March, three objects were identified with violations, 18 protocols were drawn up and considered for the amount of 787590 tenge.
