I cordially congratulate everyone on Nauryz Meiramy!

It represents the awakening of nature, is the beginning of the primordial New Year, a symbol of renewal and the desire for a new life. The centuries – old tradition of celebrating Nauryz is an indicator of the depth of the worldview and historical consciousness of our people.

Every year, with the onset of spring, we all look forward to this bright holiday. In the last century, it was not possible to solemnly celebrate Nauryz, but with Independence, this integral part of our cultural code was revived. To strengthen the ancient traditions of Nauryz, Elbasy gave it the status of a state holiday.

In the article "Independence above all" published earlier this year, I noted the importance of improving the conceptual approaches to the celebration of Nauryz. It is necessary that every nuance of Nauryz Meirama has a moral significance for people, contributes to the performance of good deeds, and benefits the country.

To this end, many events are held in all regions of our country, designed to promote the establishment of the enduring values of Nauryz Meirama among the younger generation. This practice will continue.

Nauryz Meirama should not be limited to a few hours of celebrations in the main squares and streets of cities and villages. This is, first of all, a family holiday, which is celebrated in a homely atmosphere among relatives and friends. These days, we gather in a close circle to listen to the wise instructions of our elders, share our plans for the future and wish everyone well-being.

Nauryz is a holiday of unity and harmony. The great Abai has the following lines: "On the spring nomad, the auls came together, in common joy, the relatives embraced. And my friends just gathered, joking and laughing, to talk about everything."

The deep philosophical content of this holiday teaches us to always remember the good, to be grateful for the help received and to live in harmony with people and nature.

In the minds of our people, the image of the tulip has always been associated with spring. Therefore, this amazing flower can become the main symbol of the beautiful holiday of the Great Steppe.

Dear Kazakhstanis!

In a difficult period of geopolitical cataclysms, rising international tensions, the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and the worsening crisis of the world economy, we, the people of Kazakhstan, must once again show our inherent resilience and unity in the face of serious challenges and threats.

Since ancient times, in the days of Nauryz, our ancestors selflessly helped and supported each other in difficult situations. It is gratifying that Kazakhstanis still follow this glorious tradition.

In the face of the pandemic, tens of thousands of doctors, nurses, police officers, military personnel, and volunteers continue to work selflessly for the health of their fellow citizens. Our microbiologists managed to create a vaccine against the coronavirus in the shortest possible time.

There are many inspiring examples of true nobility, civic solidarity and impressive achievements of our compatriots. You are well aware of them. Thanks to unity, harmony and stability, we have established ourselves as a successful, progressive country.

Nauryz is a holiday of kindness and mercy. Our principles of a just society and a welfare State are fully consistent with these values.

In addition, Nauryz is a holiday that brings people to work and promotes general prosperity. Working tirelessly, as our ancestors did, we are building a strong, competitive Kazakhstan together.

Another facet of Nauryz is thrift and environmental friendliness. Our people have always revered nature and lived in harmony with it. Clearing springs, planting trees, and improving the environment are our ancestral traditions that date back centuries. The main goal of the Taza Tabigat project is to continue these noble deeds.

The renewed celebration of Nauryz is also necessary to preserve the continuity of generations. As the Kazakh proverb says: "Once you get acquainted with the traditions of the people, you will learn everything about them." A new quality of the nation is formed through new skills and abilities.

This year we are celebrating a historic date – the 30th anniversary of Independence. Over the years, our country has achieved significant success, but we cannot rest on our laurels. We will continue large-scale reforms aimed at the systemic transformation of the country.

I am sure that comprehensive modernization will open the way to the progress of the nation and the transformation of our state into Mangilik El. Our main goal is precisely this!
