DESIGN CODE OF N. NAZARBAYEV AVENUE PRESENTED

DESIGN CODE OF N. NAZARBAYEV AVENUE PRESENTED

"On March 10, the mayor's Office of Uralsk met with public activists, owners of business facilities along the Avenue and presented the project" "regulations for the construction of functional zones on Nursultan Nazarbayev Avenue""." The introduction of a single design code is carried out in order to ensure the information and visual appeal of the street, optimize advertising structures, and create a full-fledged architectural and artistic environment.
It is not free to start implementing the design code in our city on N. Nazarbayev Avenue. After all, the avenue has the status of a historical center. Along the avenue there are 161 objects of cultural and household services. 38 of them are architectural heritage. The updated pedestrian infrastructure will have a positive impact on the appearance of the avenue. Secondly, since there are a lot of cultural and household services on this avenue, it is obvious that the change of facades will also contribute to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. There is also a belief that the picturesque appearance of the street will increase the interest of tourists.
– I think that the modern N. Nazarbayev Avenue will not please residents of the city. This is especially true for the packaging of advertising products on historical buildings from past centuries. The purpose of updating the unified design code is to normalize such a negative attitude,-said deputy mayor of the city Askhat Kulbayev during the meeting.
The project was prepared by ARCHBUILD GROUP LLP, which was recognized as the winner as a result of Public Procurement. The total cost of the project is 2 26 million. 432 thousand tenge.
According to the deputy head of the Department of architecture of the city Botagoz Tustikbay, the project provides for the conditional division of the avenue into three zones. These are residential, administrative and historical and cultural areas. The residential area is located between A. Moldagulova Street and Iksanov Street. From iksanov Street to the intersection of K. Zhumagaliyev Street – an administrative territory, from K. Zhumagaliyev Street to Pugachev Street – a historical territory, each of which is color-coded. For example, the residential area is green, the administrative area is blue, and the historical area is red.

Arrows, road signs, route diagrams – all of them must comply with the color code depending on the location area. There are also three main principles of placement of information structures. First, if there is only one entrance door in one building, but there will be several tenants, then it is recommended to install a separate information structure. Secondly, if the building has several doors and several owners, you can hang tiles on the facades according to the regulations. Third, if only one owner is located in one building, then they place it on the facade. Special requirements are placed on historical sites. They may not place information structures without the permission of the authorized body. It is not allowed to place tiles on the roof, supports. When placing on the wall, it is not allowed to exceed the specified dimensions. It is not allowed to place above the line of the first and second floors and close architectural details, such as windows and doors, – explained Botagoz Tustikbay, deputy head of the Department of architecture.
According to the mayor's Office of the city, in the near future Abylkair Khan, Abay avenues and Sholokhov and S. Datov streets will be of the same pattern.
