The fleets of local passenger carriers will be replenished with Kazakh-made buses. This was stated in the city department of passenger transport and highways.
The fleet is planned to be updated on all major urban routes. Currently, negotiations are underway on the purchase of new vehicles.
30 large buses of Kazakhstan production with a capacity of up to 110 passengers will be purchased at the expense of KPO b.v. For the use of buses, carriers will have to pay rent. One new bus costs about 60 million tenge.
"In 2021, KPO will allocate funds for the purchase of large class buses. It is also planned to purchase buses on lease, " says Almaz Akhoshev, Head of the Uralsk Housing and Utilities Sector.
Every day, up to 320 buses leave the line on city routes. Carriers admit that not all buses are in use. The schedule of movement and the level of income were greatly shaken by the situation with the pandemic. At the height of the pandemic, carrier companies lost up to 70% of their profits. In the movement of public transport, working hours and even days have been reduced, and the passenger contingent has not yet been restored. In the end, passengers suffered from this.
OralAvtoTrans LLP plans to purchase new equipment for leasing. 25 buses will be allowed on the route No. 5, 43, 12.
"Our park will be updated in the area of 70%. We will get rid of the attracted transport. 20% of own participation should be paid, the rest should be issued by the leasing company for 7 years, " said Alexey, Deputy Director of the carrier company Osadchuk.
According to forecasts of carriers, new buses will appear in the city in the second half of the year. Together with the purchase of vehicles, they plan to introduce electronic ticketing. This time it is already everywhere and with a differentiated payment system. Now trilateral memoranda are being signed between the akimat, carriers and operator companies.
