In the West Kazakhstan region are capitally repaired 35 km of roads Chapaevo-border of the Russian Federation

In the West Kazakhstan region, a road project for major repairs of the Chapaevo-Zhalpaktal - Kaztalovka-gr. RF highway was commissioned. The event was attended by the head of the region Gali Iskaliev, representatives of JSC " NC "Kazavtozhol", residents of the district, local Executive bodies, representatives of the engineering service, author's supervision and the General contractor, the press service of the MIIR RK reports.

The site overhaul with 157 km by 192 km of the highway located in the southern part of the Western-Kazakhstan region and is a transport link of national importance, which carried freight and passenger services between the regional center of Uralsk and settlements Kaztal, Zhanibek and Bokeiorda areas with access to the border of the Russian Federation.

Construction of the facility was started 35 years ago and 5 years after the project started, in 1990, funding for road maintenance was discontinued. Of course, during this period, the road fell into disrepair, deep ruts were formed, and the road surface material turned into the roadbed.

Major repairs of the site started in 2018. The cost of the work was 6.4 billion rubles.tenge. Today, the 35-kilometer repaired section of the road "Chapaevo-Zhalpaktal-Kaztalovka-gr. RF" is a paved road with a roadway width of 7 meters, with a bridge, a recreation area and a bus stop. At the same time, the travel time from the city of Uralsk to the village of Kaztalovka has been reduced by 3 times.

The development of roads in this direction will provide direct access to the Russian Federation (Astrakhan and Volgograd regions), increase the flow of cargo and passengers, which in turn will give an additional impetus to the development of the border areas of the West Kazakhstan region.
