COVID-19 is gaining momentum

Today, an online meeting of the operational headquarters for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and pneumonia was held under the chairmanship of regional akim Gali Iskaliev. The meeting discussed the growing number of coronavirus cases in the region, the work of monitoring groups to check entertainment establishments, and restrictions on movement by car at night.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus is again becoming the main theme of our reality. According to the data announced by the head of the regional Department of quality control and safety of goods and services Mukhamgali Aryspaeva, 47 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 were registered in just 42 weeks. Of these, there are 31 cases with symptoms, 16 without symptoms, and one case of viral pneumonia. By the way, according to the results of the 41st week, the number of confirmed cases is 34.

- Growth is observed. If in the 41st week, the bulk of the detection of COVID-19 was self-treatment of citizens, then last week it was contacts and people under surveillance. The main causes of infection are non - compliance with sanitary requirements, visiting crowded places. Of the 47 cases, 21 are pensioners, 4 are medical workers, 12 are not working, 2 are kindergarten teachers (in Burlinsky and Akzhayyk districts), 6 are employees of state bodies, and – M. Aryspaev said.

Also, according to the chief sanitary doctor of the region, since the beginning of October this year, a total of 11355 people have passed through the border with the Russian Federation. Of these, 2,513 came from PCR testing. In addition, 679 people were placed in a 2-day quarantine, among which 15 people with COVID-19 were identified, and 11 of them arrived from the Samara region.

- As you know, today in neighboring Russia, about 17 thousand cases of coronavirus infection are registered daily. Many of our citizens visit the Russian Federation and, unfortunately, bring coronavirus to our region. And this causes concern in terms of the growth of cases, so now the issue of restricting the movement of people across the border is already brewing, " Aryspaev said.

One of the main preventive measures in the fight against the pandemic is PCR testing. There are currently 7 laboratories in the region, where 7001 PCR tests were performed from October 20 to 26. Thanks to them, it is now possible to conduct 1200-1300 tests per day, and work is underway to bring this figure to 4000/day.

The head of the region Gali Iskaliev also noted that although restrictive measures have been introduced in the country, it is not uncommon to hold toys, weddings and other events in entertainment establishments of the region with the participation of a large number of people.

Despite the ongoing work to prevent the holding of solemn events, the facts of creating obstacles to the work of monitoring groups have become more frequent. In particular, the owners of cafes and restaurants lock their doors, close the Windows with roller blinds and curtains, and some even escort guests through back passages bypassing the inspectors. There are often cases of zero reaction on the part of entrepreneurs, despite the fines imposed and warnings issued. So among the worst violators were restaurants "Grand zodiac", "Gold Chaihana", "Yubileyny", "Kaspiy"," Aizat"," Zher uyyk", cafe" Lemon", Banquet halls" Albina "and"Jaiyq Hall".

During the meeting, the problems of the impossibility of getting district police officers into entertainment establishments were also touched upon. However, according to the chief Prosecutor of West Kazakhstan region Zhandos of Omiralieva according to state law a police officer can enter any building and room, if there occurred or occurs an offense, both administrative and criminal laws (the Law "On bodies of internal Affairs" - approx. author's).
