The head of state received Governor of West Kazakhstan region Gali Iskaliev

The President of Kazakhstan was informed about the main indicators of socio-economic development of the region, as well as on the implementation of previously given instructions.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the main problematic issues of the region, such as the reduction of the water level of the Ural river, the energy dependence of the region and the state of local roads. The head of state instructed the Governor of the West Kazakhstan region to solve these problems in cooperation with the government.

The President set Gali Iskaliev a number of tasks to develop meat farming and strengthen the scientific component of this sphere, increase investment in non-oil and gas production, diversify industry and increase production in the manufacturing sector.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to continue involving the unemployed and self-employed citizens in economic activities, as well as to finally remove the issue of three-shift and emergency schools in the region from the agenda.
