A monument to the 100th anniversary of Zhuban Moldagaliev was erected in Uralsk

The poet's wife, Sofya Malikovna moldagalieva, his children, grandchildren and great - grandchildren came from Almaty to attend the Grand opening of the monument. The flying figure of Zhuban as a symbol of impetuosity and firmness in the poems of this poet-citizen - became the decoration of the square in the old part of Uralsk, which bears the name of our talented countryman.

The Grand opening of the monument in honor of the 100th anniversary of Zhuban Moldagaliev was timed to the celebration of the city day.

The poet's wife, Sofya Malikovna moldagalieva, became an honorary guest of the anniversary events dedicated to the anniversary of akyn. Together with it, the famous Kazakh actor Asanali Ashimov, as well as famous akyns and poets Zhursin Yerman, Altynbek Korazbayev, Ulykbek Esdaulet, Askhat Mayemirov, Ilia Zhakanov arrived in Uralsk. - I have been preparing for this meeting for a long time, taking all precautions to avoid getting sick accidentally before this event. It is a great joy for me to come to Zhuban's homeland and participate in the anniversary events in his honor. I want to Express my gratitude to the regional authorities for this decision - to erect a monument to Zhuban Moldagaliev in the historical center of Uralsk, for the memory of him.

It is worth noting that a whole team of sculptors and architects worked on the creation of the monument under the leadership of the honored architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Rustambekov.

- We became the authors of this monument as a result of an open Republican competition. The height of the structure is 5.7 meters, the figure of Zhuban is 3.7 meters, " Serik Rustambekov said.

- This work is special and honorable for me. We were acquainted with the great poet during his lifetime. I studied with his son Kuanysh at the architectural Institute, we were friends, he was a long time Deputy Chairman of the Union of architects of Kazakhstan. When designing the monument, we first set ourselves the task of creating a monument that would fit into the surrounding buildings. Since we had to design the monument for a small square where a small bust of Zhuban Moldagaliev had already stood, we also modeled the situation in the chamber space and made a small pedestal for the figure of the poet.

Now every Ural resident who wants to see the monument. will survey the figure of Zhuban, his eyes, face directly, without lifting his head up. We have invested all our strength and talent in this project to convey to the residents of the city a vivid image of our wonderful countryman.

Head of the regional Department of culture Sairan Duysen later told the media that the monument to the poet Zhuban Moldagaliev was cast at a local factory - Kazarmaprom JSC, its cost is 79 million tenge. The project took a little less than a year to complete, And most of the time was spent designing the monument. The monument itself was made in two months.
