Thanks to the well-coordinated work of volunteers in the West Kazakhstan region under the leadership of the Coordinator Galiya Salikovna Esentaeva, I managed to find the relatives of Stepan Shershov - Vladimir Vasilyevich Shirshov.

The volunteer group in Uralsk is not large, but friendly and efficient.

And this time, volunteers Chelabayeva Agayzhan Kadyrzhanovna and Makushina Olga Viktorovna were able to identify the relatives of the soldier who died in captivity in the Stalag VIII E camp (308).

“My uncle Stepan was very young, I was 6 years old, when he was taken away, I don’t remember, to the army or to the front. Then my father, his brother was looking after the war. But they said that Stepan was missing. I am surprised how the search engines found out where my uncle was buried, because so many years have passed, I will be 86 years old, I did not think that I would live to see such a joyful event, because I found out that my uncle was not a traitor, but died in captivity ... " with correspondents of local media Vladimir Vasilyevich and he does not hide his tears.

And his wife thanks all the search engines and volunteers for the information about the relative: “our grandson is collecting information about the Shirshov family, now our descendants will know that one of the grandfathers died defending the Motherland”.

How did this search go?

Agayzhan Kadyrzhanovna accidentally saw information about the search for Shershov's relatives in the status of her relative, and remembered that she knew people with that last name. I sent this information to all chats of fellow countrymen. And almost immediately the daughter of Vladimir Vasilyevich responded.

After that, the volunteers went to the Soldier's family to explain to them how their relative died and where is buried.

“I am a person who passed by, but I decided to send information and it so happened that I was able to find the relatives of Stepan Shershov. Both me and my nephew had a lot of emotions. I realized that each person can help another simply by sending a message or post. After all, we "sit" in social networks every day just leafing through, but you can benefit others. So I decided to become a volunteer, ”said Agayzhan Chelabayeva at the meeting.

NGO "Atamnyn Amanaty" once again thanked all those who were not indifferent and reminded that the acceptance of applications for the search for the missing and relatives of the dead soldiers continues.
