Preparation for the spring flood: work has been intensified in three districts.

On behalf of the akim of the region, from February 14 to 16, a special working group consisting of representatives of the regional akimat, the regional Department of Emergency Situations, the regional department for mobilization Training, territorial and Civil Defense, the regional Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, as well as the ZKF RSE Kazvodkhoz checked flood preparations in Kaztalovsky, Zhangalinsky and Akzhaiksky districts.

In particular, specific instructions were given to restore earthen dams in the flooded areas of the villages of Kaztalov, Azhibai, Bostandyk in the Kaztalov district, the village of Akbalshik in the Zhangali district and the village of Ushtobe in the Akzhaik district.

In addition, the condition of the main structures of the Pyatimar and Dongelek reservoirs, as well as the main channels Sunkibai, Furmanov, and Taipak were checked. Instructions have been given on the organization of additional excavation work for ring roads on earthen dams on the banks of the Zhaiyk River in the village of Chapaevo, Akzhaik district.
