Preparation for the spring flood: work has been intensified in the Chingirlau district.

Flood prevention measures are being actively carried out in the region. Akim of the West Kazakhstan region Nariman Nurgaliyev paid a working visit to the Chingirlau district, where he inspected the flood prevention work.

The head of the region first assessed the culvert ring near the village of Segizzai and the protective dams in the villages of Aktash and Kayyndy. He also took part in the exercises of the rapid response unit in the village of Chingirlau and checked the level of training. He got acquainted with the village's irrigation system, the stock of inert materials and bags, and examined the state of readiness of the temporary evacuation center.

The most dangerous water sources for the area are the Ilek and Chingirlau rivers. In this regard, special protective dams have been installed in the villages of Aktau, Akshat and Kayyndy. In addition, the drainage paths flowing into the rivers have been cleaned, and additional culverts have been installed.
