Preparation for the spring flood: increased work in the Bayterek area

Akim of West Kazakhstan region Nariman Toregaliyev checked flood prevention measures in Baiterek district.

The head of the region first visited the flood-prone villages of Beles, Akzhol, Kainar, Peremetny and Karazhar and assessed the condition of the dams. The governor of the region carefully checked the strength of defense structures, the readiness of equipment and the operation of evacuation points. Protective dams with a total length of 34 kilometers are installed in the area.

The governor of the region noted the need for timely and high-quality preparation for the spring flood.

He also instructed the responsible agencies to strengthen precautions and keep the situation under strict control.
