Residents of the villages of Shalgyn and Zhaksybai of the West Kazakhstan region, affected by the spring flood, moved to new homes.
The Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation provided charitable assistance in financing the construction of 30 houses for residents of flooded villages, in the amount of 771.9 million tenge.
23 single-storey single–family residential buildings were built in the village of Shalgyn, Karatobinsky district, and 7 residential houses (3 two-apartment and 1 single-apartment) in the village of Zhaksybai, Zhanibek district, West Kazakhstan region. The settlement of residents was carried out in stages as apartments were delivered.
"We have a very warm, beautiful house, we have already settled in, there are no complaints, we like everything, we are in a good mood. Thanks to everyone who helped us, the builders, the administration, the Foundation. We have gone through difficult times, but now we are very happy, we have a roof over our heads. We wish that no one faced such difficulties and thank all those who are not indifferent, we wish only happiness," the family of Bekzhan Masalim from Shalgyn shares.
For today, all residents have received keys and have already settled into new homes. The houses of the new settlers have light, gas, water and a home bathroom.
"I express my gratitude to the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation, this year our village suffered after the flood, the houses of residents and the local school were flooded. The Foundation has allocated funds to us, and now we live in new cozy houses," said Samal Maksutova, a resident of the village of Shalgyn.
Recall that in April 2022, due to the sharp warming and abundant melting of snow, flood water entered the settlements of several villages in the region, residential buildings were flooded, some of them turned out to be uninhabitable. On July 21, the Fund received an appeal from the Deputy akim of the West Kazakhstan Region T. Kayupov with a request for assistance in allocating funds for the construction of houses. After the Akimat of the region provided the necessary documents, on August 8, the Board of Trustees of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation decided to provide charitable assistance for the construction of houses. The construction progress was monitored by the Akimat of the region.
