On January 25, 2024, organized by the Karatobinsky District Territorial Election Commission, a round table was held on the topic “Elections - the main principle of democracy,” timed to coincide with World Election Day, established on the first Thursday of February by the Conference of World Election Organizations.

At the event, the chairman of the territorial election commission, Bakhytzhan Kairkululi, said that World Election Day is intended to attract public attention to the problem of ensuring citizens' voting rights and improving electoral processes, as well as strengthening the global democratic process, expanding understanding of the election process and increasing voters' interest in voting. provided extensive information on constitutional legislation, international principles and standards, electoral bodies, the system of election commissions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, he invited public associations and non-profit organizations accredited to monitor the electoral process in the district to strengthen ties and work together with representatives of political parties.
During the round table, participants expressed their proposals, discussed and exchanged views on measures to improve the ways of organizing election processes in the district and working together.
