The new greenhouse complex of the West Kazakhstan Region has reached the industrial volume of cucumber production

The first season of growing greenhouse vegetables is completed here with an indicator of 1.7 thousand tons of"green products". This is a third of the total crop of cucumbers grown in the first half of the year in the greenhouses of the region.

The first industrial greenhouse in the region was built in 2020 by Ural Greenhouse Combine LLP. It covers an area of 5.6 hectares. And it is completely built according to Dutch technology – the supplier of all equipment is the company "Dallsin". Support in agricultural technology is provided by the Dutch company "Delphi". About 100 people are involved in the work on growing, packaging and selling vegetables.
Now the first season of growing cucumbers is being completed here. To get acquainted with the work of the plant and learn about the news of the enterprise, the first deputy akim of the WKO Mukhtar Mankeev visited it.

– The entire greenhouse is controlled by one computer. A weather station is installed on its roof, which records the air temperature, the presence of wind, the inclination of the sun's rays. Receiving all this information, the smart equipment begins to regulate the temperature inside the greenhouses, taking into account external factors: where necessary, it opens the windows or, conversely, closes the dome with curtains, protecting the plants from direct sunlight, "said Almat Zabykh, General Director of Ural Greenhouse Combine LLP, during a tour of the complex. – Our agronomists have been trained by their Dutch colleagues on the industrial production of cucumbers in greenhouses and on the basics of hydroponics. Watering of cucumbers is carried out according to the drip irrigation system. The complex constantly maintains a temperature of 21 degrees Celsius.

According to the director of the greenhouse complex, the first Dutch cucumbers of the Megan variety were planted here at the end of last year. The first harvest began to be harvested in February. During the first crop rotation, 1 thousand 700 tons of cucumbers were harvested. The plant sold its vegetables not only at local wholesale markets and supermarkets in Uralsk, but also in 9 regions of Kazakhstan, including our closest neighbors in the western region, in addition, the farm supplied products to neighboring Russian regions and even to Shymkent.
Now the Ural Greenhouse Combine LLP is preparing for the second seed laying – in August, they intend to sow not only cucumbers, but also tomatoes in greenhouses here.

The head of the regional branch of JSC "Agro-credit Corporation" Yerbol Idenov told the media that for the construction of a greenhouse with state-of-the-art equipment, Ural Greenhouse Complex LLP issued a loan in the amount of 5,136 billion tenge for a period of 10 years at 8% per annum of the effective interest rate. The company has a grace period – within 24 months it does not make contributions to the principal amount of its loan.
– Today we have officially launched the largest industrial greenhouse in the region, covering an area of 5.5 hectares. Last year, 8 hectares were occupied under greenhouses in the West Kazakhstan region, with the introduction of this complex, the production of greenhouse vegetables in our region has increased significantly. So, according to the results of the 1st half of the year, about 6 thousand tons of cucumbers were collected. Of these, 30% is the harvest of Ural Greenhouse Combine LLP. Using their example, we can see that Dutch technologies give an excellent result. In addition, permanent jobs for 100 people have been created here. Meals and transportation of employees of the complex are organized. This is one of the most important investment projects for the region, it has successfully passed the test mode and has now entered the industrial production of vegetables. For our part, we have submitted a land plot for this project, provided the complex with the necessary engineering infrastructure. And now it is nice to realize that Ural Greenhouse Combine LLP has not only provided the West Kazakhstan Region with greenhouse vegetable products, but also began to supply "green products" to other regions of Kazakhstan, including the southern region. The company has great prospects. We think that they will be able to create their own West Kazakhstan brand of greenhouse vegetable products.
