The Head of State received Governor of West Kazakhstan region Gali Iskaliyev

The President of Kazakhstan heard a report on the main indicators of the socio-economic development of the region, as well as on the implementation of previously given instructions on land relations and ensuring a "hearing state", the activities of social and entrepreneurial corporations, attracting investment and problems of the cross-border Zhaiyk River.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was provided with information on the participation of the local community in monitoring the implementation of budget projects, solving issues related to water supply, heat supply, road construction and modernization of the electric grid.

The Head of State supported the plans of the akimat to create a scientific and production base for the development of meat farming in the West Kazakhstan region, noting that the region has opportunities to increase meat production and strengthen the country's position in the world market.

The President also pointed out the need to preserve the technical and human resources potential of the machine-building industry in Uralsk, and also set Gali Iskaliev tasks to reduce demographic risks, create new jobs and support investors.

The Head of State noted the importance of a fair distribution of regional budgets, taking into account their peculiarities, and the introduction of an effective mechanism for inter-budgetary relations. According to him, the regions should have a clear understanding of how to use taxes at the local level.
