"TURKISTAN» SEVEN FEET ON THE KEEL

Today, in the area of the Dynamo camp site, a solemn launch of a small patrol ship of the Aybar project, manufactured by the Zenit plant, took place. The event was attended by the governor of the region Gali Iskaliyev.

– Today we are launching another product of the plant, the guard ship "Turkistan", which will guard the state border on the Caspian Sea. The ship's displacement is about 70 tons, it can reach speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour. The range of navigation is up to a thousand kilometers. This is a serious industrial product that is not afraid of storms at sea. I would like to thank the staff of the Zenit plant, which is the only one in our republic that has been producing boats and ships since 1993. This vessel is the 32nd in a row for the plant. Now the plan is to release another unit, where the displacement is 10 times greater than that of the one that we are launching today. I also want to thank the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for its constant support and orders – " Iskaliyev said.

The factory workers and all those present at the celebration were also congratulated by the Deputy head of the Department of border Control of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gani Agadilov and representatives of the coast guard.

– Like the previous launches of boats and ships made by the plant, it is a real event for all those involved in it and another step in achieving the goal of equipping the Border Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan with modern technical means of domestic production. I wish the plant new achievements in the development of domestic shipbuilding – - said G. Agadilov.

- The ship "Turkistan" is the 27th unit for the plant, manufactured for the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the State Defense Order. This is the second of the ships of a similar project. Unlike its predecessor, this ship has more powerful main engines, as well as increased power of the central water jet propulsion system. Like its predecessor, it is designed to protect the territorial waters, the state border and the continental shelf of the Republic of Kazakhstan; patrolling for the purpose of crossing illegal shipping, smuggling operations, piracy and illegal fishing; interception and inspection of infringing vessels. The vessel has improved seaworthiness characteristics: speed, controllability, stability, cruising range, autonomy, crew habitability conditions, " said Vyacheslav Valiev, Director of the Zenit plant.

After launching, the " Turkistan "will be delivered to the Caspian Sea, where it will undergo mooring, factory running and acceptance tests.

According to tradition, the Governor of WKO Gali Iskaliyev together with Vyacheslav Valiev performed a ritual in a solemn atmosphere-they broke a bottle of champagne on the side.
