Akim of West Kazakhstan region forbade to congratulate the elderly at home

This instruction was given in order to ensure the safety of the spread of the coronavirus on the eve of the May holidays during the next meeting of the operational staff for the CVI.

- Now many veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labor are getting sick, and this is a serious problem, - said Gali Iskaliyev. - While at home, the elderly still catch the virus. It turns out that they are actively visited at home. For example, war and labor veterans hosted guests at Nauryz. Therefore, I want to urge our citizens to stop visiting veterans at home. If you want to congratulate us, call us on the phone, and pass the gifts through the volunteers. When we come to such people, we are doing them a disservice, putting their lives in great danger. Someone does it from the heart, others-for the sake of their own PR. Such walking should be stopped. We need to switch to a different format of congratulations, without putting the elderly at risk. Our main task is to ensure the safety of citizens, and we need to appreciate the work of doctors. The number of beds in infectious diseases hospitals is already over 50%. This alarming trend requires us to strengthen our compliance with sanitary requirements. The relevant services need to prepare for this. If the situation does not improve, we will have to take tougher measures.

As it was reported during the meeting, in the West Kazakhstan region, there is a loss of vigilance of citizens who continue to hold family celebrations, which contributes to the preservation of quarantine for a long time. At the same time, two new types of coronavirus have been identified in the country: British and South African. According to experts, these strains are more contagious, as the rate of their spread among the population is almost twice as fast. It is assumed that the new species were introduced when the Kazakhs returned from different countries.

- Experts say that the coronavirus has a strong effect on the body, - said the Governor of the West Kazakhstan region. "And if we continue to violate the quarantine requirements, there is a great risk of a repeat of the pandemic scenario of last summer. Since the beginning of this year, 61 people have died from the pandemic, and the number of cases has increased by 20%. Are there still citizens among us who believe that the epidemic will bypass them? Many were ill, and the relatives of those who were ill suffered. It is time to understand the gravity of the situation. Some people still hold wakes and weddings in the city. The virus affects the human body in different ways, and the most dangerous thing is when the disease is asymptomatic and the person does not know that he is sick, continuing to infect others. It is worth considering how many people such a person can infect during family events? You need to understand that the joy of a family celebration can turn into grief.
