Akim of WKR reported to the Public Council of the region

On Monday, February 15, Gali Iskaliyev spoke about the work done on the development of the region last year and the prospects for this year. This meeting was a kind of rehearsal before the main report of the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region with the population, which is scheduled online for the coming Saturday (February 20).

As the governor of the region noted, the growth of the industry last year was ensured by increasing the volume of gas production - by 6.8% and gas condensate-by 6.9%. At the same time, volumes in the manufacturing industry were reduced by 4.5%. According to the Governor of the West Kazakhstan region, this is due to a decrease in demand from Russia due to the pandemic.

"To ensure the growth of the manufacturing sector this year, four projects worth 4.9 billion tenge with the creation of 148 jobs were introduced within the framework of the Business Support Card," Gali Iskaliyev reported. – As for investments, they amounted to 468 billion tenge, which is 21.6% lower than in 2019. This is primarily due to the fact that in 2019 there were large investments in the Karachaganak and Chinarevskoye oil and gas fields. In other sectors, there is an increase in investment. Last year, 7 investment projects worth 19 billion tenge were introduced with the creation of more than 270 new jobs.

In his report to the members of the Public Council, Gali Iskaliyev paid attention to the social support of citizens. As it was noted, within the framework of the republican campaign "BizBirgemiz" announced by Elbasy, about 30 thousand West Kazakhstanis received financial assistance in the total amount of 1.5 billion tenge (50 thousand tenge for each).

- Within the framework of the Employment Roadmap, 33.3 billion tenge was allocated last year for the implementation of 172 projects, - said the Governor of the West Kazakhstan Region. - 152 projects have already been completed, about 8000 jobs have been created, including 242 permanent ones. In 2020, 8.7 billion tenge was allocated for the implementation of the Enbek program, and more than 24,000 people were employed. Within the framework of the program, 1113 micro-loans were issued in the amount of 4.4 billion tenge. 2000 people received a grant to implement new business ideas, of which 57% for the development of livestock and 19% for poultry farming, 24% for other types of businesses.

There are also achievements in the sports field. According to the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan region, two sports and recreation complexes were built in Zhangali and Bokeyordinsky districts. Currently, the construction of seven FOCS in six districts is underway. Six sports facilities have been opened in Uralsk at the expense of private investments. In addition, 36 sports grounds were built last year at the expense of the local budget and sponsors.

- Our young talents have achieved excellent achievements in sports, - said Gali Iskaliyev. - For example, Georgy Sheiko became the first holder of a license to participate in the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in 2021 among Kazakhstani athletes. Ekaterina Larionova won a silver medal in the women's wrestling championship of the Republic, Anastasia Panasovich – a bronze. And 18-year-old Sabit Daniyal became the national champion in boxing. I believe that every achievement of the younger generation, along with socio-economic development, demonstrates the success of our country over the 30 years of its Independence.

The members of the Public Council appreciated the activities of the akim of the West Kazakhstan Region, noting that in general, fruitful work was done in our region, there are good indicators in various areas. Of course, there are problems, so it is not necessary to relax in the era of the pandemic - there are big things ahead for the benefit of the region. The public activists expressed their support for the planned initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and quality of life of the population.
