Vaccination in West Kazakhstan region shows positive results

240 WKO health workers have already been vaccinated with the Sputnik-V vaccine. According to the acting head of the regional health Department Arman Kalibekov, there are no pronounced symptoms and allergic reactions among the vaccinated.

The first post-vaccination days show positive results, the Russian vaccine is well tolerated, - said A. Kalibekov. - According to the vaccinated themselves, they did not feel any special changes. The injection gives a painless sensation of a slight burning sensation. With the exception of contraindications from vaccinations for health reasons and medical withdrawals, there are no facts of mass refusal of WKO medical workers from vaccination. Good awareness-raising work has been carried out, and everyone understands the importance and obligation of getting vaccinated, which will prevent the risk of infection with CVI and protect others. Our healthcare professionals consider it their duty to get vaccinated and set a good example to others.

According to the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the WKO, over the past day (for 4.02), the number of cases of coronavirus decreased to 88 against 109 before. From January 1 to February 4, there were 2,174 laboratory-confirmed cases, 1,354 of which were symptomatic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,395 COVID-19 cases have been registered in the WKO, 9,267 (almost 82%) recovered and 199 fatal cases. Over the last week (29.01 to 4.02), compared to the previous one (from 22.01 to 28.01), there was a decrease in the incidence - by 3.7 % (from 636 to 613 cases).

- Most often, the working population (41.5%) and pensioners (21.2%) get sick, - said Nurlybek Mustayev, Deputy Director of the DSEC of the West Kazakhstan Region. -For the 3rd quarter (since January 11), 127 cases of COVID-19 were registered among students, 49 of them were on full-time training, 78-on distance learning. By the decision of the Chief State Sanitary Doctors of the city and districts, 42 classes in 31 schools were closed for quarantine.

In seven infectious diseases hospitals of the West Kazakhstan Region, designed for 579 beds, 291 people are currently being treated. Their occupancy rate is 50.2%. Moreover, 20 patients receive treatment in 62 intensive care beds. The predominant age among patients is from 60 to 80 years.

As for the screening, despite the unstable situation with the coronavirus, no one canceled them. As A. Kalibekov explained, all citizens who are included in the target groups by age, in order to identify risk factors and other diseases at an early stage, it is recommended to undergo a preventive medical examination. In medical institutions, the reception of patients is carried out as planned only by appointment through the e-gov Portal, through a mobile application, a phone call to the registry.

Since conducting screening examinations is the most important direction of state policy, plus taking into account the fact that all planned hospitalizations are carried out, I think, in compliance with all anti - epidemic measures, visiting a polyclinic for screening examinations is not dangerous, - said A. Kalibekov.

According to the regional health ministry, all patients receiving outpatient treatment with a mild form of CVI and pneumonia should be provided with free medicines, including paracetamol, ibuprofen, rivaroxaban, apixaban, and dabigatran. However, the trade names of the drugs may differ from the above ones. Usually, a mobile team consisting of a doctor and a nurse goes to the patient's home, conducts an examination and assessment of the condition and prescribes treatment. The district nurse delivers the prescribed medications to your home. The list of medicines provided by the PHC organization free of charge for people with a mild form of CVI and pneumonia is posted on the website
