The situation with the coronavirus in the West Kazakhstan region is getting worse: almost 100 cases were registered in the last day, which brought our region closer to last year's peak of the epidemic. The growth for the week was almost 38%. The number of cases now exceeds the number of recovered. Stricter quarantine measures are coming: the next step is to restrict the operation of public transport on weekends.
These uninspiring statistics were announced at the next meeting of the operstab on preventing the spread of KVI in the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan Region. As the chief health officer of area Mohakhali of Ryspaev, last week it was 1269 cases covid infection, and that a total of WKO – 10490 infected. 46.5% of this number are citizens with symptoms of ARVI, 30.7% were in contact foci, 18% - caught the virus, moving with a professional purpose. Uralsk is the leader in the number of cases-537 cases. Followed by Bierecki – 251, Burlin – 193 and Akzhaiyk areas – 74. Most of the cases are among the elderly population and working citizens.
According to the Department of Education of the West Kazakhstan Region, the situation in schools is more or less favorable: no outbreaks of diseases have been detected. Since January 11, 43 cases have been recorded among schoolchildren who are undergoing full-time training and 27-among those who are on "distance learning". As a result, the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control in the West Kazakhstan Region received a proposal to suspend public transport on weekends with disinfection.
Akim of WKO Gali Iskaliyev, after listening to the reports of the responsible departments, agreed with this decision, noting that the number of calls to the ambulance is also growing, while the occupancy rate of infectious hospitals is rapidly increasing, which can not but worry.
"If the coronavirus incidence increases at this rate, then in the near future it will be very difficult for our medical workers to cope with the load again," the Governor of the West Kazakhstan Region said. – The blame is the general relaxation of the population, non-compliance with sanitary norms and rules. It should be recognized that tough measures still help to cope with the unfavorable picture of the spread of coronavirus infection.
Gali Iskaliyev instructed to continue the work on the transfer of employees to the remote format of work with the provision of the necessary conditions, taking into account the rules announced by the chief sanitary doctor. The Department of entrepreneurship and industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan should explain the possible measures of state support in the quarantine period, the owners of cafes and restaurants, and the management of coordination of employment and social programs for the citizens who have lost their jobs in the pandemic.
By the way, the first doses of the Russian vaccine "Sputnik-V" in the amount of 1000 pieces will arrive in the West Kazakhstan region in a few days.
