Prices are controlled

he project office "Akzhayyk-adaldyk alany" together with state organizations conducted monitoring of prices for socially significant products in supermarkets "Altyndar", "Anvar". According to the approved resolution of the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan region No. 288 dated December 9, 2020 "On approval of the maximum allowable retail prices for socially significant food products", prices for potatoes should be – 122 tenge, onions – 117 tenge, carrots – 121 tenge.

In the course of monitoring at the supermarket, "Alcindor" prices for socially important products, such as potatoes, onions, carrots comply with the approved resolution. In the trading house "Alcindor" price exceeded the approved size.

– We conduct control not only during monitoring, it happens that we receive complaints through social networks, so we check them individually. Social activists, non-governmental organizations, and volunteers help us in this. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions in the northern parts of our country, the highway is closed, so the delivery of goods is difficult. Hence the rise in price. But whether this is an objective reason, the question in this direction will be studied. As for the inflated prices in the supermarket "Anwar", the administration explains the reason for the expensive prices from the supplier itself. Therefore, here, together with the local executive bodies, we will check how justified the overestimation of the price is. If there is no good reason, then appropriate measures will be applied. Also, sometimes there are complaints about prices in stores from the outskirts of the city. Within the framework of the "Akzhayyk – Adaldyk Alany" project, together with the executive bodies, we are working out how to keep prices acceptable to the population, " said Birzhan Khairullin, head of the Prevention and Integrity Department of the Anti – Corruption Service for the West Kazakhstan Region.
