Upcoming holidays should not lead to deterioration of the epidemic situation - Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On the eve of the New Year holidays, the Ministry of Health calls on citizens to observe measures to prevent coronavirus infection.

"On the eve of the long New Year holidays, I urge you to observe measures to prevent coronavirus infection, such as:

- do not visit places of a mass congestion of the population;

- not to hold and not to attend collective events, holiday parties, corporate events;

- do not allow hypothermia of the body;

- do not endanger relatives and friends from risk groups, use modern remote means of communication for communication and congratulations," First Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Shoranov said during an online briefing in the CCS.

"New Year is a family holiday, and I encourage you to meet it in the circle of close people with whom you live together, without inviting relatives, friends and acquaintances. Dear Kazakhstanis, once again I want to draw your attention to the fact that the pandemic is still ongoing, " Marat Shoranov stressed.

He noted that every person needs to treat the situation with maximum responsibility and do everything possible not to get infected and not to infect others, as well as comply with the requirements for mandatory wearing of masks, social distancing and hygiene.

"We must remember that the upcoming holidays should not lead to a deterioration of the epidemiological situation and an uncontrolled increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection, and this directly depends on our behavior and commitment to prevention measures," the First Vice Minister of Health said.
