Akim of WKR held an online meeting with the governors of the Orenburg and Saratov regions

The main topic of negotiations with the Governor of the Orenburg region Denis Pasler was the program to save the TRANS-border river Zhaiyk-Ural.

During a videoconference with The head of the Orenburg region, Gali Iskaliev stressed the need to jointly finalize the program for solving the problem of the Zhaiyk-Ural river.

Governor Denis Pasler noted that today the Ministry of natural resources is preparing a report to the President of the Russian Federation on the readiness of the program and determining the source of funding.

- Fruitful scientific cooperation has developed between the regions. For example, in the past, scientists of the WKO and employees of the Institute of meat cattle breeding of Orenburg were engaged in breeding the Kazakh white-headed breed of cattle. It will be useful to resume such cooperation. WKO is also interested in working with the Institute of steppe, Ural branch of RAS, Federal research center of biological systems and agricultural technologies of the Russian Federation, - said akim of the region.

Our region exports meat, transformers, and polyethylene pipes. The Orenburg region has a well-developed production of food products that have prospects for export to our region. Akim of WKO proposed to create a club of business cooperation between the two regions. The Governor's office will forward a promising proposal for participation of the Orenburg entrepreneurs in investment projects of Kazakhstan.

During the talks, the issue that concerns residents of the Burlinsky district was also raised. It was about exceeding the maximum permissible concentration of emissions at the gas field in the Tashlinsky district of the Orenburg region. Gali Iskaliyev has proposed to strengthen the control and to give our technicians access to sensors for the measurement of emissions. The Governor of the Orenburg region supported the proposal of the regional akim.

On the same day, Gali Iskaliev held an online meeting with the Head of the Saratov region. The subject of discussion was the beginning of preparatory work for passing vehicles through the Fomin checkpoint.

As Valery Radaev noted, the repair of the road from Alexandrov Gaya to the Fomin post will begin in 2021, after which it is planned to open a two-way road crossing.

As the WKO Governor noted, there is a great potential for direct deliveries of cattle meat through the checkpoint at favorable prices for both sides. WKO is ready to lay the necessary infrastructure for the post to work.

Gali Iskaliev also noted the good work of the business cooperation club between entrepreneurs of our regions. During the period of growing cases of CVI infection in the West Kazakhstan region, entrepreneurs of the Saratov region provided support through the supply of personal protective equipment. In addition, our doctors were consulted by employees of the Saratov state medical University.

During both online meetings with the governors, in case of improvement of the epidemiological situation, the Governor of the region suggested holding regular bilateral trade fairs, planning and continuing the implementation of environmental, sports and cultural events next year.
