Information on activities within the framework of the implementation of the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Sphere of Religions for 2017 - 2020

On the territory of the West Kazakhstan region, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Religious Activity and Religious Associations", 78 subjects of religions, representing 9 confessions, are registered.

A stable religious situation remains in the region, no conflicts on religious grounds and incitement of sectarian hatred have been registered.

In accordance with the action plan for the implementation of the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of religions for 2017 - 2020, 14 information and explanatory groups (hereinafter - IRG) functioned on the territory of the region in the amount of 122 people.

In order to prevent religious extremism and terrorism, form immunity against the ideology of destructive religious movements (hereinafter referred to as DRT), implement state policy in the sphere of religion and promote secular principles, 3928 events of various formats were carried out in 2019 (1018 meetings, 1268 lectures, 68 seminars, 1 forum, 87 round tables, 9 meetings, 65 actions, 1076 conversations, 1 conference, 335 other events) with coverage of 148 343 people.

Such well-known religious scholars, theologians, historians, psychologists, teachers as A. Sabdin, N. Stambakiev, M. Tazabekov, A. Tlegenova, T. Mustafina, S. Alimkulova, S. Nurbekova, X are involved in outreach work. Adilbekov, M. Orynbai, R. Chinguzhanov, J. Zhaksygaliev, Z. Usenova, A. Ayangalieva.

In particular, from February 25 to April 26, 2019, 43 meetings were held in the secondary schools of the region of Uralsk, covering 3512 students.

In order to develop a set of measures to prevent manifestations of negative stereotypes of interethnic and inter-confessional hatred and intolerance among young people, cultural and sports organizations, from 8 to 23 April 2019, an explanatory work was carried out among coaches and mentors of sports schools in the city of Uralsk on the topic “Ruhy biik eldin- eңsesi biik ".

From July 19 to August 5, 2019, meetings were held between the employees of Zavod Zenit JSC, Zhayikteploenergo JSC, West Kazakhstan Electricity Distribution Company JSC, Batys Su Arnasy LLP, Hydromash-Orion-MZHBK LLP, LLP "Ural Transformer Plant".

From September 13 to October 2, 2019, 27 meetings were held among universities and secondary specialized educational institutions, covering 3211 students.

From 21 to 31 October 2019, within the framework of the state social order, the department implemented the project "Information literacy is the basis of security in society" among students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. The project covered 1,329 students from all higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in Uralsk.

From September 23-24 and November 18-22, 2019, with the participation of members of the Republican Information and Outreach Group in the Sphere of Religion (hereinafter referred to as the RIRG), 14 comprehensive preventive and rehabilitation measures were organized with coverage of 1,784 people.

In 2019, 5 training seminars and 1 round table on advanced training in the field of religion were organized for members of the IRG, imams and theologians, the regional pool of journalists, law enforcement specialists. In particular, on April 29-30, 2019, a two-day training seminar was held on the topic "Extremism hiding behind religion and deradicalization", on August 20-22, a three-day training seminar on the topic "The role of imams and theologians in the prevention of religious extremism and terrorism", September 25 - a seminar on the topic "Psychological aspects of working with adherents of destructive religious movements in order to prevent religious extremism and terrorism", on September 27 a round table was held on the topic "New approaches to identifying representatives of destructive religious movements", on October 25 a seminar on the topic "Publication of questions in the media religious sphere. ”Also on August 7, 2019, a training seminar for women believers was held on the topic“ Learning is light, not learning is darkness ”

In order to prevent conflicts on religious grounds among the population of the region, including among target groups, 2505 events were implemented, covering 52970 people. Outreach activities covered target and risk groups of young people in the NEET category, religious students, youth in the Shanyrak Youth House (children from orphanages), unemployed citizens, self-employed, citizens engaged in trade in markets and retail outlets, women, etc.
