The number of serviced flights in Kazakhstan's airspace increased by 6%

For 8 months of 2018, the number of serviced flights in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 171,845, which is 9,522 more flights than in the same period of 2017. The increase in air traffic was 5.87%. Kazakhstan airlines performed 66,489 flights, the number of flights of foreign airlines was 105,356. The increase in air traffic is observed for all categories of flights, except for Charter flights of foreign aircraft landing in Kazakhstan, and domestic Charter flights of Kazakh airlines. The number of regular transit flights performed through our country's airspace in the period from January to August 2018 was 76,431, which is 5,328 (+7.49%) more flights than in the same period last year. At the same time, the growth of transit traffic of Charter flights of foreign airlines was +18.89% (from 6,621 flights in 2017 to 7,872 in 2018). The growth of transit traffic is associated with an increase in the frequency of regular flights of foreign airlines. The number of regular flights performed by foreign airlines landing at airports in Kazakhstan in the period from January to August 2018 was 15,221, which is 354 (+2.38%) more flights than in the same period last year.
