Today, at the Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Makhambet, a ceremony was held to present the title “Honorary Citizen of the Atyrau Region” to a group of people for their contribution to the socio-economic development of the region. The event was attended by Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov, who noted that people who devote themselves to work should be honored, that they are worthy of all praise.

“The wealth of society always accumulates thanks to human labor. Today we present the title “Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region” to a group of individuals who have contributed to the socio-economic development of our region and who have dedicated their lives to serving society. First of all, this is, of course, honoring a working man who should become an example for the younger generation. There must be uninterrupted continuity in this direction. Working people who, regardless of time, devote themselves to serving society, are always worthy of respect. It's really not what you do, but how you do it. Our duty is to honor and respect people who work in various fields and, through their work and actions, guide the younger generation, unite society in solving various issues,” S. Shapkenov noted.

Next, the head of the region awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Atyrau Region” to six Atyrau residents for their contribution to the socio-economic development of the region.
