Pilot projects to prevent auto-aggressive behavior among schoolchildren be adopted in Atyrau

Today, the Kazakh Academic Drama Theater named after Makhambet hosted an August conference on the theme "Fair Kazakhstan: quality education, an honest generation, a successful nation." This year, the traditional republican conference was distinguished by the fact that in Astana 20 regions were connected via online communication, divided by various topics.

During the conference in Atyrau, under the chairmanship of the Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov, topical issues of psychological and pedagogical work to create a safe educational environment in educational institutions were discussed.

At the beginning of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Tamara Duissenova congratulated the participants on the new academic year online and announced that it would end again on May 25.

“I want to express my opinion about the duration of the academic year. In society, there were different opinions on this issue. The teaching community also made recommendations. It must be admitted that this is a world experience. However, such changes must be carefully prepared. In my opinion, the decision of the ministry was correct, but it was taken hastily. In this regard, I consider it right to return the 34-week academic year and finish the lessons on May 25,” T. Duissenova said.

At the three-hour conference in August, the issues of raising the status of teachers, ensuring the safety of children, using new methods of teaching special children, preventing violence in schools, installing video surveillance cameras, providing the Internet and technical equipment were discussed.

Summing up, akim of the region Serik Shapkenov instructed responsible specialists to open special centers of psychologists for the prevention of auto-aggressive behavior of children. The head of the region also dwelled on the work carried out in the field of education and said that the public procurement service would be centralized.

“Our main goal is to create a comfortable environment for learning in schools. There are 4 emergency schools and 11 three-shift schools in the region. By the end of this year, the problem of three emergency schools will be completely resolved. However, by checking all educational institutions, we transfer some schools to the emergency category. The number of students studying in three-shift schools is planned to be halved. We will also provide the necessary support to entrepreneurs interested in building schools. When teaching special children, teachers should be sent to advanced training courses and work according to a new educational methodology. In the civil service, the heads and specialists of each of the departments were reduced, and the vacant positions were given to the department of education. Since school directors and teachers should be relieved of other positions. That is, we are centralizing the public procurement service. A special department will be created. I would like to emphasize that for a worthy upbringing of the younger generation, parents and teachers must be in close contact,” S. Shapkenov summed up.
