Honorary Consulate of Lithuania opened in Atyrau

Today Deputy Akim of Atyrau region Zhasulan Bissembiyev received the Ambassador of Lithuania to Kazakhstan Gintautas Vasiulis, who arrived in Atyrau on an official visit.

Zhasulan Bissembiyev, welcoming the foreign guest, noted that trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Atyrau region and Lithuania is being strengthened. He stressed that the leadership of the region is always ready to support proposals and projects that are significant for the Atyrau region.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further development of the transport and logistics, construction and manufacturing industries.

In turn, Gintautas Vasiulis confirmed that he intends to further develop cooperation with the Atyrau region, and invited him to take part in the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania.

It should be noted that in January-May of this year, the foreign trade turnover of the Atyrau region with Lithuania amounted to 222.8 million US dollars. Of these, the volume of exports is 222.6 million US dollars, imports - 200 thousand US dollars.
