Head of region met with residents of Atyrau city

Today, Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov held a meeting with the townspeople and listened to their appeals.

To begin with, the head of the region spoke about the work carried out by local authorities in the city of Atyrau. Today, the issue of road construction in the Balykshy microdistrict is relevant.

“One of the main issues of the city is the condition of the roads. Today, 10% of intracity roads are in poor condition, this is 10 km out of a total of 50 km. The issue of road construction in the cities of Atyrau and Kulsary is on the agenda. As you know, first of all, road repair work is carried out on the streets where social facilities are located, and then asphalt is being laid in other areas. There are streets that were left without asphalt. Also, work began on the restoration and expansion of the central bridge. In the near future, documentation for the construction of 50 km of roads will be developed. Repair work is nearing completion on Abay Street in the Balykshy microdistrict. The design and estimate documentation for asphalt laying on Kozhakayev Street has been sent to the state expertise. After receiving the conclusion, work will begin. In addition, the city akimat made a proposal to demolish two-story emergency houses located along this street and build a public garden on this site,” S. Shapkenov noted.

At the meeting, residents raised issues regarding the allocation of land, receiving social assistance, providing housing, water, employment, improving the quality of communications, and reconstructing roads.

The head of the region stressed that all the issues raised will be taken under control and they will be resolved within the framework of the law.

Then a personal reception of citizens took place, in which more than 30 citizens took part. Appeals of Atyrau residents were heard in the presence of the competent authorities and appropriate explanations were given.

For reference: 404,844 people live in the city of Atyrau. There are 73 schools, 23 healthcare facilities, 15 sports complexes and other social facilities in the regional center.
