Akim of Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov voted in N. Tlendiyev Minor Academy of Arts

Serik Shapkenov visited polling station No. 8 in Atyrau and voted in the elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local maslikhats, the Press Service of the akim of the region reports.

“Dear countrymen! The new format for the election of deputies to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and maslikhats gives the right to every citizen to cast their vote. That is why I believe that today we are witnessing the results of the reforms carried out by the President. I also made my choice. I call on each of you to vote for the future of our country,” S. Shapkenov said.

442 candidates for deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the local maslikhat have been registered in Atyrau region. Of these, there are 11 candidates for the Mazhilis, 60 candidates for six party lists of the regional maslikhat, 39 candidates for 15 single-mandate constituencies of the regional maslikhat, 71 candidates for the Atyrau city maslikhat, and 261 candidates for seven district maslikhats.

There are currently 269 polling stations. They are open from 7:00 to 20:00. Polling station No. 8 has 2,340 voters. In total, 412,165 voters are registered in the region.
