Region is actively preparing for heating season

A meeting of the regional commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations was held with the participation of the Deputy Akim of the region Kairat Nurtayev, as well as akims of the city and districts, the Regional Communications Service reports.

The agenda included issues of preparation for the heating season, the readiness of republican and regional roads for the winter period of 2022-2023, the development of services in case of emergencies and incidents, the phased creation of fire posts in settlements where there are no units of the state fire service.

At the beginning of the meeting, Daniyar Mukishev, Acting Head of the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services, made a presentation. According to him, in general, 414 educational facilities, 144 healthcare facilities and 1,786 multi-apartment residential buildings are being prepared for the heating season in the region.

“To date, 99% of the facilities are ready for education, 94% for health care and 83% for housing. In accordance with the decree of the akimat of the city and district, from October 1 of this year, heat will be supplied to social facilities, and from October 15 - to multi-apartment residential buildings. In order to ensure high-quality and uninterrupted passage of the upcoming heating season, it is planned to repair all life-support facilities of the city and districts,” D. Mukishev said.

Samat Aitkaliyev, head of the department of passenger transport and highways of Atyrau region, reported on the second issue.

“For the maintenance of highways of regional significance for three years (2020-2022), competitive procedures are carried out, in the winter period a contract is drawn up for these works. The length of public roads of local importance in the region is 1,927 km,” he said.

On the third issue, the report of the Acting Head of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Atyrau Region Askat Yerzhanov was heard.

“Today, the Department of Emergency Situations conducts exercises with these services on a quarterly basis in order to determine the readiness of civil protection services. As part of the republican command and staff exercises, organizational instructions for the preparation and conduct of the republican command and staff exercises "Koktem-2022" were developed and approved.

At the end of the meeting, Kairat Nurtayev gave specific instructions to those responsible for the industry.
