The head of the region Serik Shapkenov met with business representatives. This is the second meeting of the regional akim with entrepreneurs this year. Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from the regions took part in it, the Press Service of the Akim of the region reports.

The meeting was also attended by akim of the city, akims of districts, heads of departments, heads of state bodies. Representatives of monopoly enterprises providing services to the population and business are also invited. This is due to the fact that some entrepreneurs asked questions about electricity tariffs.

The Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the region Nurbol Zhanabekov made a report. In his speech, he reported on the progress in fulfilling the instructions of the regional akim, given in April at the first meeting with entrepreneurs.

“More than 50 issues were taken into consideration at the first meeting. Of these, 30 have been resolved, over 19 the relevant implementation work is underway. Thus, in order to prevent a shortage of feed for livestock in the region, 717.4 million tenge was allocated from the local budget. Local farmers can apply for subsidies from November this year,” N. Zhanabekov said.

The meeting, which was attended by about 200 business representatives, lasted 5 hours. At the meeting in the open microphone format, any businessman voiced his questions and made proposals.

For example, entrepreneurs from the Zhylyoy district say that high tariffs for gas transmission by the monopoly institution Zhylyoy Gas bring great difficulties to novice businessmen. In addition, serious indignation was caused by an increase in the tariff for entrepreneurs by 31.45 tenge of AtyrauEnergoSatu LLP. This question also worries the owners of local grocery stores.

The issues raised at the meeting were included in the minutes, a schedule was drawn up for their sequential resolution. Since the meeting was attended by heads and representatives of state bodies and monopoly companies, some questions were answered and clarified immediately during the dialogue.

Summing up the results of the meeting, Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov noted that comprehensive support would be provided in the development of entrepreneurship. He stressed that the work to provide state support to business representatives should be open and transparent.

“I said back in April that it is important for me to conduct a dialogue with you openly, and I am ready for this in every possible way. As I promised, we have gathered today for the second time. It is important to further strengthen relations, respect each other, and clearly express our opinions. Here we openly discuss problems and look for solutions together. This is how I ask specialists in any state institutions, from the first leaders, to openly communicate with the population and explain in detail the ways to solve problems. At the same time, the support provided to entrepreneurs should be transparent and public,” Serik Shapkenov said.

This year, the number of business entities in the Atyrau region has reached 64.5 thousand. The number of people employed in this area is 48,801 people.
