Head of region met with residents of Koktogay rural district, Inder district

Akim of Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov visited the Koktogay rural district, Inder district, where he inspected social facilities, the Press Service of the akim of the region reports.

To begin with, the head of the region got acquainted with the work of the rural secondary school named after B. Nysanbayev. More than 500 children study at the educational institution for 454 places. To bring the facility in line with sanitary requirements, the issue of building an additional extension is being raised.

“Now 40 children go to the only kindergarten in the village. The rest of the children attend school, where they are taught in the pre-school group. 102 preschool children study in this way. Today there are not enough rooms for this number of children. In total, 577 students from grades 1 to 11 study in 18 classrooms of the school. We conduct classes for preschoolers in the corridor, in a space specially fenced with plastic partitions, we study in two shifts,” Anar Umbet, Principal of the school, said.

Then Serik Shapkenov got acquainted with the construction of a sports and recreation complex in the village of Koktogay. The construction of the sports complex was started by the contractor SCS Engineering LLP within the framework of the program "Auyl - Yel Besigi" (The village is the cradle of the country) in July 2021.

“The law is the same for everyone. At the moment, for low-quality construction, along with civil servants, both the contracting organization and technical control are punished. Since the foundation of the sports complex was laid, it was necessary to monitor the process in a timely manner and work strictly according to the schedule, avoiding shortcomings. This facility is vital to the locals. Therefore, it is important for the district construction department to take control of it and take concrete measures. If the complex is not handed over on time, according to the law, we are obliged to hold those involved accountable,” Serik Shapkenov said.

As part of the working trip, the head of the region met with the villagers.

Serik Shapkenov made a report on the ongoing work in the district, and also listened to the opinions of citizens.

“Before arriving at a meeting with residents of the rural district of Koktogay, I noticed a wasteland in the middle of the village. Garbage has already begun to accumulate there. It is very important to keep clean and improve our villages. Akim of the district proposed to clear this area and build a children's playground in its place. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev has always focused on creating conditions for the future of children and gave specific instructions for this. The future of the country belongs to the younger generation. I support this initiative. I have already given the corresponding order. During construction, it is necessary to strengthen public control on the part of the villagers themselves. Because every penny of the budget allocated for the benefit of the people should be spent purposefully,” Serik Shapkenov said.

At the meeting, residents, in turn, raised issues of housing, subsidies, electricity, grazing land and the construction of kindergartens.

Serik Shapkenov noted that the issues raised by the residents of Koktogay will be resolved within the framework of the law, depending on the priority.

Along with this, the akim of the region held a reception of citizens on personal issues.

2,454 people live in the rural district of Koktogay. There is 1 clinic, 1 school, 1 police station.

Recall that the meeting of the regional akim with the population was broadcast live on the official page of the Inder district akimat on Facebook.
