The authorities of Atyrau and Astrakhan regions are ready to strengthen cooperation

Today, a delegation of the Atyrau region, headed by the First Deputy Akim of the region Serik Aidarbekov, arrived in the Astrakhan region with a visit, the delegation also included medical workers and entrepreneurs, the Regional Communications Service of the Atyrau region reports.

On the first day of the visit, a meeting was held with the vice-governor - Chairman of the government of the Astrakhan region Oleg Knyazev.

Speaking about plans to expand bilateral cooperation, S. Aidarbekov spoke about a wide range of interests.

"Atyrau region is an industrial region of Kazakhstan, and there are plans to create new industries. We invite companies and entrepreneurs of the Astrakhan region to consider the possibility of investing in projects in the territory of our special economic zone," the First Deputy Akim of the Atyrau region said.

In turn, the vice-governor - Chairman of the government of the Astrakhan region Oleg Knyazev noted that the Atyrau region is the main partner-region for the Astrakhan region in Kazakhstan. He recalled that historical and cultural ties unite our regions, and business cooperation is developing in many areas: agriculture, shipbuilding, trade. The fields of medicine and education also occupy a special place. During the conversation, the parties focused on the early start of joint work on the creation of a border trade center

"We are ready to work together, we have every opportunity to ensure that representatives of the business of the Astrakhan and Atyrau regions can quickly, clearly and without unnecessary obstacles exchange goods. We are interested in the early start of joint work on the creation of a border trade center," Oleg Knyazev said.

As part of his working visit, S. Aidarbekov plans today to visit BT SVAP LLC, Hexa-Lotos and Rybnye Korma enterprises of the Lotos Special Economic Zone, and the Lotos Shipyard. In addition, members of the delegation of the Atyrau region are holding working meetings today in key ministries and departments of the Astrakhan region, and will also visit the Krasnoyarsk region.
