Large-scale environmental projects are being implemented in Atyrau

A number of large projects are being implemented in the region aimed at improving air quality. Akim of the Atyrau region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov announced this at a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Regional Communications Service of the Atyrau region reports.

"The largest of them is Tazalyk, which is being implemented by the Atyrau Oil Refinery. The reclamation of the Tukhlaya Balka evaporation fields began in April this year and will be completed in 2023.

Also, the reconstruction of the building of sewage treatment facilities on the right bank of the city began. Cleaning of the Kvadrat evaporator pond will begin in 2023," Akim of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov said.

Also in 2021-2023, with the involvement of private investors, 2 sorting complexes for the processing of solid household waste with a capacity of 225 thousand tons per year will be built in Atyrau.
