Akim of the city Kairat Orazbayev and the head of the contracting company reported on the progress of the work. The construction of a sewage treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 70 thousand cubic meters per day began in December 2017.

To date, the construction and installation work of the facility has been completed on time. Specialized work is now underway on the stage-by-stage switching on of its individual structures and technological units with two-level treatment.

Municipal waste water from residential areas, enterprises, institutions, organizations of the left-bank part of the city goes for treatment to the receiving chambers of treatment facilities. In general, the operation of a sewage treatment plant provides, first of all, mechanical treatment, that is, filtration of large residues and biological treatment through the use of grown bacteria.

The new sewage treatment plant is in great demand in terms of improving the environmental situation in the region. It makes it possible to use wastewater for the technical needs of the city of Atyrau.

According to the contractor, the start-up and commissioning work on the adjustment of the technological regime of the sewage treatment plant will take about four months. Thus, by November 1, the guaranteed quality indicators of treated wastewater must be achieved for their reuse.

Akim of the region M. Dosmukhambetov, noting the special significance of the facility for the population of Atyrau, instructed the management of the contracting company and the relevant officials to carry out preparatory work at the proper level and put the sewage treatment plant into operation in a timely manner.
