400 thousand square meters of housing were built in Atyrau

This was reported by the head of the Department of Economics and Budget Planning A. Azhigaliyeva at a meeting chaired by the Akim of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, the Press Service of the akim of the region reported.

The meeting was attended by deputy akims of the region, heads of departments and in the selector mode - akims of districts.

On the agenda, the issue of the results of the socio-economic development of the Atyrau region in the first half of 2021 was considered.

"At an expanded meeting chaired by the Head of State, the results of the work done in the republic in the first half of the year were summed up. In this aspect, it is necessary to implement the tasks set by the President, to clarify the work plans for the upcoming period," the Akim of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov said.

The Head of the Department, Aigul Azhigaliyeva, having familiarized with the economic indicators of the region, commented on the growth in some areas.

According to her, in January-May the volume of industrial production amounted to 3,891.7 billion tenge.

Also, the state budget received taxes and other obligatory payments in the amount of 687.4 billion tenge.

Along with this, the volume of investment in fixed assets since the beginning of the year increased by 16.5% in June of that year.

The number of small and medium-sized businesses increased by 0.9%, amounting to 50,742 units.

Aigul Azhigaliyeva noted significant growth in the construction sector.

"In the first half of the year, the volume of construction work was 107.2%. Moreover, in the city of Atyrau, the growth was 276%, in the Kurmangazy District - 164.8%.

During this period, 399.8 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the region, an increase of 188.1% compared to the same period last year," A. Azhigaliyeva said.

The head of the region ordered to activate and effectively organize the work of the akims of the Isatay, Kyzylkoga, Makhambet districts, where there was a decrease in the industry, which is one of the main indicators of the socio-economic development of the region.

"The analysis shows that akims and heads of departments associate all issues with financing, that is, they focus on work carried out at the expense of the budget.

Your work should not be limited to the preparation of design estimates and construction. The task of diversifying the economy, set by the President, requires the priority development of agriculture, the implementation of entrepreneurial projects, the creation of new jobs," the Akim of the region M. Dosmukhambetov noted.

Along with this, Makhambet Dosmukhambetov instructed responsible persons to take measures to attract investment and create jobs. He also obliged to ensure the effective and high-quality implementation of the state programs "Yenbek", "Business Roadmap - 2025".
