The first stone was laid in the foundation of the Kaitpay Sultan's mosque in Atyrau
The head of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov and the Chief Mufti Nauryzbay kazhy Taganuly in the suburban village of Yerkinkala laid the foundation stone of the famous Kaitpay Sultan's mosque, the Communications Service of Atyrau region reports.
“During the years of independence, our spirituality was reborn. And traditional religious beliefs play an increasingly important role in spiritual life. A striking example of this is the 500-seat mosque in the village of Yerkinkala, the first stone of which was laid today. The mosque is a special place where kindness and mercy, virtue and generosity reign, where people can touch the sublime with their hearts. May it serve good deeds. Good luck on a good initiative!” Makhambet Dosmukhambetov said.
The chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Chief Mufti Nauryzbay kazhy Taganuly noted that the mosque is not just a building for prayers, but a sacred place designed to promote our traditions, the unity of the country, and harmony in society. Traditionally, the mosque, in addition to religious values, promotes charity. Expressing confidence that the mosque under construction will become a center of spiritual attraction for the population, for God-pleasing deeds, the mufti gave his blessing.
The mosque is being built at the request of the villagers, at the expense of a local entrepreneur. Construction is expected to be completed and the facility will be operational within one year. The mosque will have rooms for reading the Koran, sermons, male and female prayer halls. It is also planned to set up a dining room and a house for the imam near the mosque.
For your information, today there are 34 mosques in the Atyrau region.
