Information from the meeting of the Commission for the development of proposals on the coordination of state policy in the religious sphere under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan via videoconferencing

November 26 this year under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.L. Togzhanov through a videoconference, meetings of the commission for the development of proposals on the coordination of state policy in the religious sphere under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held, in which the deputy akim of the Atyrau region B.K. Khamenova took part. supervising issues in the indicated direction.

The main agenda was 2 topics: the state of work on the rehabilitation and social adaptation of citizens returned to the country in the framework of the special operation "Zhusan", as well as preventing the spread of the ideology of religious radicalism in the Internet space.

On the first issue - with families returned from conflict zones, constant theological and psychological work is carried out with the aim of their adaptation in society. Some of the returned women, as a result of educational projects, underwent appropriate training and later got a job in various positions in their specialty.

All children received assistance in preparing documents confirming the citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On the second question - due to the fact that the Internet is the main source for the dissemination of the ideology of destructive religious movements (according to statistics, about 3 million destructive materials were posted on social networks in Kazakhstan within 1 month. The figures distributed from abroad are much higher), the main solution to this problem is the strict supervision of the disseminated religious information on the Internet and the bringing to legal responsibility of the DRM propagandists.

In this direction, the Akimat of the Atyrau region, guided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On religious activity and religious associations", has strengthened the application of administrative pressure on violations in the religious sphere.

As a result of the work carried out in the Atyrau region, 34,616 destructive accounts that were available for 2019 in 2019 decreased by 10,645 people, more than 16,000 accounts were blocked.

It is worth noting that 69.3% of the accounts that poison the minds of residents through the Internet have decreased in the region.
