This year, UAPF contributors received an investment income of 1 trillion tenge

Key indicators of the UAPF as of October 1, 2020

For nine months of 2020, pension savings in the amount of 12.5 trillion tenge were formed on the accounts of the depositors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. For the year from 01.10.2019 to 01.10.2020, the amount increased by almost 1.9 trillion tenge, or 20%. In many respects, such an impressive growth was achieved due to the fact that more than 1.08 trillion tenge of net investment income was credited to the accounts of the UAPF contributors, which is 598.6 billion tenge more compared to the same period last year.

The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of mandatory pension contributions (MPC) and amounted to 12.2 trillion tenge (an increase since the beginning of 2020 was 16%). The amount of pension savings on mandatory professional pension contributions (MPPC) amounted to 301.9 billion tenge (an increase of 23%), the amount of pension savings on voluntary pension contributions (VPC) reached 2.14 billion tenge (an increase of 10%).

The number of individual pension accounts in the UAPF as of October 1, 2020 in comparison with the same period in 2019 increased by almost 1.2 million units. As of 01.10.2019, the number of IPA was 10.6 million units (10,576,023), and by 01.10.2020 exceeded 11.7 million (11,729,797). Thus, the growth in one year was 11%.
The largest number of accounts were opened for mandatory pension contributions (MPC) - there are almost 11 million of them, to be more precise 10 982 963 (11% growth since the beginning of the year). Then there are accounts formed at the expense of mandatory professional pension contributions (MPPC) - 521,681 (an increase of 2%), the number of voluntary pension contributions (VPC) is gradually growing, such accounts in the UAPF are now 56,517 (an increase of 4%).

Since the beginning of 2020, pension contributions in the total amount of 777.07 billion tenge have been received on depositors' accounts, which exceeded the indicators for 9 months of 2019 by 61.7 billion or 9%. Of the total amount of contributions, 95.4% are receipts to the UAPF on MPC - 740.2 billion tenge, 35.2 billion tenge were received on MPPC, 353 million tenge were transferred on VPC.

Payments amounted to 138.5 billion tenge, most of which, namely 33%, accounted for payments by age (46.1 billion tenge), transfers to insurance organizations (36.1 billion tenge), for leaving for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan (27 , 6 billion tenge), heirs (24.5 billion tenge), for burial (3.01 billion tenge), disability payments (1.1 billion tenge).
