A modern rehabilitation center for 150 people will open in Atyrau

The construction of a new rehabilitation center for people with special needs for 150 people is nearing completion in Atyrau. Interior finishing and landscaping work is currently underway at the facility. This was reported by the Head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Urban Development of the Atyrau region, Nurbergen Kussainov, the Regional Communications Service reports.

The construction and installation work, which began in July 2023, is being carried out by the BatysAlyansStroy company.

“As of today, the construction of the facility has been completed, interior finishing and landscaping work is underway. 83 rooms of the new rehabilitation center, designed for 150 people, will be equipped with all the necessary equipment,” N. Kussainov informed.

According to the Head of the Department for the Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the Atyrau region, Polymbet Khassanov, the new center will allow people with disabilities to adapt to social life, receive psychological support and improve their health.

To date, more than 26 thousand people with special needs are registered in the Atyrau region, of which more than 4,500 are children.

In the new center, about 100 specialists will provide special social and medical assistance to patients. It is planned that about a thousand children and adults with disabilities will be able to undergo rehabilitation annually.
