IT IS IMPORTANT TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE FAMILY
On August 11, 2021, on the ZOOM platform, in order to discuss issues of strengthening the institution of the family and preventing domestic violence, with the participation of a deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament - Chairman of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Ramazanova, an online meeting was held to discuss bills on prevention domestic violence.
In her report, the Deputy Akim of the Atyrau region Bakhytgul Kairzhanovna Khamenova touched upon issues of family values, demographic policy, protection of the rights of women and children, and prevention of violence in the region.
The meeting was attended by members of the National and regional commissions, deputies of maslikhats, heads of regional departments, representatives of internal affairs bodies, courts, deputy akims of the city of Atyrau, districts, akims of all rural districts, secretaries of regional commissions, members of commissions, the regional Council of fathers, the Council of mothers under Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, representatives of non-governmental organizations, the media.
Lyazzat Ramazanova, chairing the meeting, said that: "At present, the draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan to strengthen the institution of the family" is being considered. The well-being of Kazakh families and happy children is one of the main priorities of our country. Strengthening the institution of the family is under the personal control of the Head of State."
During the meeting, Director of the Atyrau College of Business and Law, head of the regional branch of the public association "Alliance of Women's Power" Nurly Telmanovna Aitiyeva, Director of the Department for Helping Women Victims of Domestic Violence Aibarshin Tukpatullayevna Imangaliyeva, Judge of the Specialized Interdistrict Juvenile Court of Atyrau region Gizatolla Otarovich, chairman Public association "ABYROY-BEDEL" to increase the authority of a man in society and the dignity of a father in the family Eldana Asylkhanovna Asylkhan, Chairman of the Council of Mothers of the Kurmangazy district - Balganym Khasenovna Khassenova, judge of the specialized court for administrative offenses of the Atyrau region Smal Sarsenbekovna Abugaliyeva shared their opinion on the need to strengthen the legislation, aimed at strengthening the family, preserving family values and preventing family offenses, violence.
Also, questions were raised about the problems of divorces of young families, the inefficiency of the e-marriage system, low parental responsibility in family education, the impact of the information flow on the development of the thinking of a modern child in Russian, the insufficiency of Kazakh fairy tales for children, the lack of science fiction books, films, cartoons, the lack of television programs related to family education and other issues. It is also important to develop the institution of paternity, to give priority to the upbringing of the father in the family. There were also proposals to turn the crisis center, created to protect women and children from domestic violence, into centers for educating the aggressors and providing them with psychological assistance.
The issues raised during the meeting by the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were noted for further discussion and decision-making.
